Change to Succeed

To succeed, we must find something to hold on to, something to move us, and something to inspire us to move forward.
It takes faith to have courage to see beyond our feelings, our disappointments, and even our failures.
We must not only move forward, but also believe we can get past the things that hinder us, that are difficult to bear.
We are our brother's keeper, and we must respect and admire the purpose given by God in each of our lives.
We all have transitions in our lives and sometime those changes are a second chance to do what we know is right.
To look, to listen, to choose, to act, these are things no one else can do for you.
Only you can look to heaven for hope, listen to wisdom, choose to do right, and act upon the positive.
In doing this, you can change your thoughts, which in turn can change your life.

Just Keep Moving

Was thinking about this profound experience I had on a cruise.  This one phrase changed my way of looking at my situation and my thinking: "Just Keep Moving".......nothing stops just because we have issues, disappointments, or failures. God told me nothing stops unless he stops it...the earth spins on its axis, the sun and moon rise and fall, the tide goes in and goes out, so what makes me think I can stop because something is not going right. Keep moving like all those things are doing. It is all by his power. Do what you know to do. Making It Happen takes desire, determination, and dedication. So here are a few things I wanted to share. Sometimes we need a little push. Hope u get what u need!

  • Every step you take, is a step away from where you used to be.
  • If you're going through hell, keep going!
  • Becoming and being are the yin and yang of our lives, the secret of it is balance.
  • Vision is not enough, it must be combined with movement. It is not enough to stare up the steps, we must step up the stairs.
  • When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds; your mind goes beyond limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great and wonderful world. Your gifts, and talents become alive. You discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be. All that we are is the result of what we have thought.
  • What would you attempt to do if you knew you would not fail?
  • It is only imperfection that complains of what is imperfect. The more perfect we are, the more gentle and quiet we become towards the defects of others.
  • There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.
  • Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
  • It is never too late to become what you might have been
  • I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.
  • Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

"What a difference a day makes!"

Wow, that phrase came up from some locked safety deposit box in my mind.  Even though I  don't know why that particular saying found its way to the top of my thoughts, I decided to ponder on it anyway.

So I let loose and let it free and began to think about when I was younger I told myself what I would be doing in 10 or 20 years. When I would be old enough to drive, old enough to leave home, old enough to stay out all night, all those things that were restricted. The long list of  "cant's". Just waiting for the "day" all that would change.

So where did this come from? I'm old enough to do anything now. Almost too old to do some things as a matter of fact. You know how things can get you off track. One minute your thinking and then the next your wondering "why did I think about that?". Often confusing but, EVERYTHING has a purpose. Even this simple little phrase.

I started putting it into some kind of logical form, thanks to that critical thinking class I took 3 times. Hahahahaha.......You see all that time I was thinking about the things I couldn't do, I could have been planning the things that would given me freedom beyond measure. Preparing not for a fleeting moment, but for a lifetime. If I remember correctly, those milestones came and quickly passed.

Finally, I'm understanding the whole picture-what a difference a day makes. What change can be made to shape and form the rest of our life? Yes, I know "life happens", but I learned that some things you can prepare for. Decide today what can make a difference forever. No emotions, just truth. Don't let one day go by without thought of tomorrow. The earlier in life the better.  I'm looking forward to making a difference everyday in every way.
